Albuquerque, N.M. - The No. 7 USC men's golf team shot 303 on Friday to finish 17th after the second round of the 2002 NCAA West Regional held on the University of New Mexico's Championship Course.

The top 10 teams from the regional will advance to the NCAA Championships in Columbus, Ohio, on May 29-June 1.

The Trojans have a two-round total of 597, 15 strokes behind first place UNLV and eight strokes out of 10th.

Senior Kevin Stadler, who is tied for 36th (148), leads the Trojans. Freshman Ben Hayes is tied for 47th (149), junior David Oh is tied for 60th (150), junior Chris Botsford is tied for 74th (151) and junior Scott Oxandaboure is tied for 105th (155).

The final round begins on Saturday with a 7 a.m. tee off.
