    Smith Ties For 12th To Lead No. 10 USC At Western Intercollegiate

    Senior Sam Smith tied for 12th and was No. 10 USC's top finisher for the third event in a row as the Trojans finished sixth on the final day of the 67th Western Intercollegiate at the Pasatiempo G.C. in Santa Cruz, Calif., on Sunday (April 14).

    USC finished at 50-over 1100 (351-373-376) while No. 1 Cal ran away with the event and won at 1-over 1051 (350-361-340). The Bears' final round was 17 strokes better than the next closest finisher.

    Smith tied for 12th at 2-over 212 (67-70-75) while freshman Yi Keun Chang tied for 29th at -over 218 (66-76-76).

    Junior Jeffrey Kang tied for 40th at 12-over 222 (69-78-75), sophomore Anthony Paolucci tied for 48th at 14-over 224 (74-75-75), sophomore Ramsey Sahyoun tied for 63rd at 17-over 227 (75-77-75) and senior Stewart Hagestad tied for 68th at 19-over 229 (78-75-76).

    USC is next in action April 29 through May 1 at the 2013 Pac-12 Championships at the L.A. C.C.
