Senior Sam Smith carded a final round par and tied with freshman Yi Keun Chang for 16th while USC finished sixth overall to close out the 2013 U.S. Intercollegiate at the Stanford G.C. on Saturday (March 30).
USC combined for a 9-over 849 (277-290-282), 32 back of winner and host Stanford (817=272-271-274). TCU was second (823) with St. Mary's third (839), San Francisco fourth (841) and UC Davis sixth (849).
Smith tied for 16th at even 210 (72-68-70) with three birdies against three pars.
Chang (68-71-71) rescued his round from a slow start with two birdies and an eagle over a three-hole stretch between 13 and 16.
Sophomore Anthony Paolucci tied for 34th at 4-over 214 (71-73-70) while junior Jeffrey Kang tied for 44th at 5-over 215 (66-78-71). Like Chang, Paolucci also eagled 16. Kang had four birdies during his round.
Junior Ramsey Sahyoun completed a tough weekend in 94th at 23-over 233 (76-79-78).
