    No. 7 USC Ties For 10th At Southern Highlands

    Senior Sam Smith posted his second straight top 16 finish to lead the No. 7 USC men's golf team during the final day of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters at the Southern Highlands G.C. in Las Vegas on Sunday (March 10).

    The Trojans saw their two-event first place streak end as they finished tied for 10th at a combined 29-over 893 (293-300-300), well back of top-ranked California, which ran away with the title.

    Smith was even on the front and back 9 with two birdies and two bogeys on each. He closed his round with a birdie on 9 to get back to even for the day. He tied for 16th at 3-over 219 (70-77-72).

    Junior Ramsey Sahyoun (74-76-75) and freshman Yi Keun Chang (73-72-80) tied for 39th at 9-over 225. Sophomore Anthony Paolucci tied for 53rd at 11-over 227 (76-75-76) and junior Jeffrey Kang tied for 66th at 21-over 233 (79-77-77).
