    Chang Leads Troy During Southern Highlands Second Round

    Freshman Yi Keun Chang's even round led the No. 7 Trojans during the second round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters at the Southern Highlands G.C. in Las Vegas on Saturday (March 9).

    USC, which had finished first each of the past two events, is in 10th at a combined 17-over 593 (293-300). Top-ranked Cal has built a large cushion and leads the 15-team field at 11-under 565 with No. 12 Stanford second (576) and 2012 runner-up Alabama third (577).

    Chang's even round included a 1-under front 9, all of his three birdies coming then. He is tied for 16th at 1-over 145 (73-72). Senior Sam Smith is tied for 23rd at 3-over 147 (70-77). He was 3-under through six before encountering troubles the rest of the round.

    Junior Ramsey Sahyoun is tied for 44th at 6-over 150 (74-76) while sophomore Anthony Paolucci is tied for 48th at 7-over 151 (76-75). Junior Jeffrey Kang rounds out the scoring, tied for 71st at 12-over 156 (79-77).

    USC's final round begins at 8:27 a.m. on Sunday.
