Paolucci Leads USC In The Prestige Second Round

    Sophomore Anthony Paolucci

    Feb. 19, 2013

Sophomore Anthony Paolucci's strong, though incomplete, second round had him tied for fourth to lead the USC men's golf team during the second straight day of darkness-shortened play at The Prestige at PGA West on Tuesday (Feb. 19) in La Quinta, Calif.

USC opened the day a stroke back but is now in fifth, 10 behind, though about half of the 15-team field still needs to finish the second round before the third round will begin. Action to complete the second round will begin Wednesday at 7 a.m. with the final 18 holes set to begin at 8 a.m.

Paolucci was the lone Trojan to not complete his second round. The sophomore, who has led USC in its past two events, finished 15 holes at 2-under thanks in part two four birdies and an eagle on the 11th hole.

Junior Jeffrey Kang (67-76) and freshman Yi Keun Chang (69-74) are tied at 1-over 143. They had a combined three birdies on the day.

Senior Sam Smith is tied for 71st at 12-over 154 (73-81) while junior Ramsey Sahyoun is tied for 76th at 15-over 157 (83-74).
