Paolucci 66 Leads Troy Into 4th At Amer Ari|

Sophomore Anthony Paolucci fired a 6-under 66 while junior Ramsey Sahyoun and freshman Yi Keun Chang both carded 68s to lead No. 3 USC to the low round of the day and a move into fourth place after the second day of the 2013 Amer Ari Invitational at the Waikola (Hawaii) G.C.
USC, tied for 12th after the first round, combined for a 15-under 273 on Thursday to move to 12-under 564 (291-273). Leader Washington (-21, 555) notched the second-best second round with a 13-under 275 and is two better than second-place UCLA (557). Texas is third (562), two better than the Trojans.
Paolucci moved into a tie for third at 6-under 138 (72-66) thanks to his strong round, which included an eagle on the par 5 4th hole as well as six birdies. He was at par through seven holes after starting his round on 13, but finished the final 11 holes at 6-under.
Chang is tied for 23rd at 2-under 142 (74-68) after four birdies and an eagle on the par 5 18th. Senior Sam Smith is tied for 30th at 1-under 143 (72-71) and junior Jeffrey Kang is tied for 41st at even 144 (73-71). Kang had a birdie on 8 and pars the rest of the way.
Sahyoun climbed into a tie for 45th at 1-over 145 (77-68). He had four birdies and also had an eagle on 4.
USC will tee off with UCLA, Texas and Washington beginning at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow (HST).
