REID SO FAR THIS SEASON: Senior Gavin Reid played in one fall event tying for 30th at the Bill Cullum Invitational. An oft-used junior, Reid is battling for a prominent role in his final season with the Trojans.
2007-2008: Reid played in six events as a 2008 junior college transfer, including five times as part of USC's scoring team. He finished a season-best 30th at the CordeValle Collegiate (77-70-73-220) and tied for 45th at the Pac-10 Championships (72-79-71-76-298) ... He also tied for 34th at the USC Collegiate (77-78-74-229).
SADDLEBACK COLLEGE: Reid won the California JUCO State title in 2006, was the 2005 and 2006 Orange Empire Conference Player of the Year and was a two-time Saddleback MVP ... He qualified for the U.S. Open sectionals at Newport Beach C.C. in 2005.
IRELAND: ¬ He represented his home province "Ulster" (Northern Ireland) in 2005 and 2006 at the U21 Level.
PERSONAL: Born Jan. 27, 1986, he is the son of Ken and Paulene Reid.
