THIS SEASON: Bobby Gojuangco, a 2016 senior, looks to build on a strong finish to his junior season and remain a major piece of USC's efforts to make another deep run at the NCAA Championships.
2015: Gojuangco was a full-time starter as a 2015 junior, playing all 44 rounds in 14 events and finished fifth on the team in stroke average (72.77) ... He posted 10 rounds in the 60s and registered four top 11 finishes. ... He tied for seventh at the Bill Cullum Invitational at 5-under 211 (68-71-72), tied for 10th at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate at 1-under 209 (69-67-73) and tied for 11th at both the Amer Ari Invitational at 10-under 206 (69-67-70) and at the Jones Invitational at par 216 (68-75-73) ... He fired a USC career best 65 in the final round of The Goodwin, where he led USC with a tie for 20th at 1-under 209 (72-72-65) ... He tied for 33rd at 6-over 294 (73-73-75-73) to help USC advance to the NCAA Championships match play tournament. There, he won his quarterfinal match, 4&2, over Texas' Gavin Hall, and his semifinal match, 3&2, over Illinois' Dylan Meyer. He lost his final match, 1up, to LSU's Benjamin Taylor.
2014: Gojuangco saw action in three events as a 2014 sophomore, highlighted by a 46th at the Arizona Intercollegiate at 14-over 227 (73-78-76). He also tied for 54th at the Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational and tied for 75th at the William H. Tucker Invitational. His low round for the year was a 73 (three times) and he finished the season with a 76.67 stroke average.
SAN DIEGO STATE: Gojuangco saw action in six tournaments as a 2013 freshman at San Diego State where he finished with a stroke average of 73.83 ... He finished fourth at the Kikkor Golf Husky Invite with a 214 (71-72-71) and tied for 15th at the North Ranch Intercollegiate at 223 (74-77-72).
HIGH SCHOOL: Gojuangco prepped at Torrey Pines High in San Diego, Calif., where he played on three consecutive Southern California regional title teams and helped the Falcons win a 2011 state title. He also played on Torrey Pines' fourth-place team at the 2012 state tournament. He earned All-CIF first team honors as a 2011 junior ... He competed in the Callaway Junior World Golf Championships.
PERSONAL: He is an economics major.
