Senior defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis has been named to the 2007 American Football Coaches Assocation All-American first team.

Ellis, now a 2-time All-American first teamer, has 52 tackles in 2007, including 12.5 for a loss (with 8.5 sacks), and 6 deflections. He is tied for 23rd nationally in sacks (0.8). He is one of 8 semifinalists for the 2007 Lott Trophy and 1 of 15 semifinalists for the 2007 Bednarik Award.

In his career, he has 28.5 tackles for a loss and 17.5 sacks.
