    Six Trojans Make 2011 Pac-12 All-Academic Football Team

    Six Trojan football players, all juniors, were named to the 2011 Pac-12 All-Academic Team.

    Quarterback Matt Barkley, center Khaled Holmes, defensive end Devon Kennard and safety Drew McAllister all were named to the second team, while punter Kyle Negrete and safety Cody Romness were honorable mention.

    Barkley is a communication major with a 3.22 GPA, Holmes is majoring in communication management (3.22 GPA), Kennard is a communication major (3.20 GPA), McAllister is majoring in public policy, management and planning (3.12), Negrete is a sociology major (3.25 GPA) and Romness is a music industry major with a 3.48 GPA.

    Kennard also made the 2010 Pac-10 All-Academic second team, while Barkley and Holmes were honorable mention last year. McAllister made 2009 Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.
