No. 11 USC, after playing 4 of its last 5 games on road, returns home to the sold-out Coliseum, where it now will play 4 of its final 6 regular season contests, starting with Colorado this Saturday. USC and CU have played only 6 times in history (Troy has never lost to the Buffaloes). Colorado is making its first visit to the Coliseum since 2000. USC is going for its 300th October victory.

The Trojans set the school scoring streak record last Saturday while winning at Washington. Head coach Lane Kiffin's Trojans feature such outstanding offensive players as QB Matt Barkley (3 TDs away from the Pac-12 career touchdown pass record), All-American WRs Robert Woods (4 catches shy of the USC career receptions mark) and fellow Biletnikoff Award candidate Marqise Lee (he is in the national Top 11 in receptions, receiving yards and all-purpose running), 1,000-yard TBs Curtis McNeal and Penn State transfer Silas Redd (he has 10 career 100-yard outings) and Rimington Award nominee C Khaled Holmes.

Barkley Breaks School Record in 42-17 Victory Over Colorado
Matt Barkley ties school record with six touchdown passes as Trojans power past Colorado on Friday night, 42-17.

The Trojan defense, which is in the Top 25 nationally in sacks, tackles for loss, rushing defense and total defense, features All-American S T.J. McDonald, fellow Thorpe Award nominee CB Nickell Robey, LBs Dion Bailey (fourth nationally in interceptions) and Hayes Pullard and DE Morgan Breslin (he is seventh in the nation in sacks and tackles for loss).

Colorado head coach Jon Embree (the former All-Big 8 tight end for the Buffs) has seen his squad drop all but 1 game in 2012, including losing by 34 points last Thursday against Arizona State. CU ranks in the bottom 20 nationally in total offense and total defense. The Buffalo offense is led by QB Jordan Webb, young TBs Christian Powell and Tony Jones and equally young WRs Nelson Spruce and Tyler McCullouch. Top CU defenders are SS Terrel Smith, ILB Derrick Webb, CB Kenneth Crawley and OLB Jon Major, plus DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe (he is in the national Top 20 in sacks).

The game will be aired live nationally on the new Pac-12 Networks. It's Trojan Family Weekend. USC's 1972 national champ football team will be saluted during the game on their 40th anniversary. USC and CU also battle in women's volleyball and soccer in Los Angeles the day after the football game.
