Devon Kennard Drafted By Giants In Fifth Round|

USC outside linebacker Devon Kennard was drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL draft by the New York Giants on Saturday (May 10).
Kennard was a 3-year starter at USC who had 195 career tackles (26 for losses), including 60 last season (with 13 for losses and a team-best 9 sacks) when he was a Lott Impact Trophy finalist and USC's Most Inspirational Player.
He joins Marqise Lee, a second round section of the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Marcus Martin, a third round pick by the San Francisco 49ers, as Trojan draftees in 2014. USC now has he 283 all time draftees, one behind leader Notre Dame.
A number of Trojans signed with teams as free agents: tight end Xavier Grimble (New York Giants), offensive tackle Kevin Graf (Philadelphia Eagles), tailback Silas Redd (Washington Redskins), defensive tackle George Uko (New Orleans Saints), defensive end Morgan Breslin (San Francisco 49ers), safety Demetrius Wright (Miami Dolphins) and linebacker-safety Dion Bailey (Seattle Seahawks). Grimble, Uko and Bailey left USC after their junior seasons to enter the NFL draft.
