USC and Virginia will meet for the first time ever in football when the teams play a home-and-home series in 2008 and 2010, Trojan athletic director Mike Garrett announced today.

The Trojans will travel to Charlottesville on Aug. 30, 2008, then the Cavaliers will come to the Coliseum on Sept. 11, 2010.

USC has only faced current Atlantic Coast Conference teams 16 times in history. The Trojans hold a 10-6 all-time record against ACC schools, most recently defeating Virginia Tech in the 2004 opener.

Besides its annual meeting with Notre Dame, among USC's other non-conference foes through 2011 are Nebraska, Ohio State and Hawaii.
