April 29, 2007

Two more Trojan football players--linebackers Dallas Sartz and Oscar Lua--were selected on the second day (April 29) of the 2007 NFL draft.

Sartz, a 4-year starter at USC, was a fifth round pick of the Washington Redskins. Lua, who led Troy in tackles in 2005, went in the seventh round to the New England Patriots.

They join the 3 Trojans--wide receivers Dwayne Jarrett (Carolina Panthers) and Steve Smith (New York Giants and center Ryan Kalil (Carolina Panthers)--who were second round NFL draft picks on Saturday (April 28).

USC now has had 435 players drafted in its history, including 32 during head coach Pete Carroll's first 6 years.
