2008: Woidneck will be USC's punter for his third season as a senior in 2008. 2007: Woidneck, a one-time walk-on who earned a scholarship in the fall of 2007, spent his second season as USC's punter as a junior in 2007. Overall in 2007 while appearing in 12 games (USC did not punt against Washington State), he averaged 37.9 yards on his 60 punts. He also had 1 tackle. Twenty-four of his 60 punts pinned opponents within the 20-yard line and 7 traveled at least 50 yards, but he had 3 punts blocked. He averaged 43.0 yards on his 2 punts versus Idaho and 41.0 on his 4 punts at Nebraska (2 pinned the Cornhuskers within the 20 and 1 traveled 50 yards). He averaged 38.3 yards on his 4 punts at Washington but had 1 blocked, then averaged 40.8 on his 4 punts against Stanford, with a 56-yarder. He averaged 36.6 yards on his 7 punts against Arizona (including twice pinning UA within the 20). He averaged 37.0 yards on his 6 punts at Notre Dame (including 4 pinning ND within the 20) but had 1 blocked. He averaged 36.4 yards on 5 punts at Oregon, including a 54-yarder (1 pinned the Ducks within the 20). He averaged 36.4 yards on his 7 punts against Oregon State, with 3 pinning OSU within the 20. He averaged 34.0 yards on his 6 punts at California (including 2 that pinned the Bears within the 20) and used a variety of directional punts and sky kicks to eliminate the effect of star returner DeSean Jackson. He averaged 52.0 yards on his 2 punts at Arizona State (52 and 50 yards), but had 1 blocked. He averaged 38.3 yards punting versus UCLA with 4 of his 7 punts pinning the Bruins within the 20. He averaged 36.2 yards on his 6 punts against Illinois, with 4 pinning the Illini within the 20. 2006: Woidneck, who won the starting punter job in 2006 fall camp as a walk-on sophomore after transferring to USC via Arizona State and then a junior college, averaged 38.3 yards on his 48 punts while appearing in all 13 games in 2006. He also had a tackle. Sixteen of his 48 punts pinned opponents within the 20-yard line and 5 traveled at least 50 yards. He pinned Arkansas within the 20 on 2 of his 3 punts while averaging 35.7 yards. He averaged 41.8 yards on his 4 punts against Nebraska and 44.5 yards on his 2 punts at Arizona. He averaged 44.2 yards on his 4 punts (with a 59-yarder) at Washington State and 43.0 yards on his 2 punts versus Washington. He then averaged 42.6 yards on 5 punts versus Arizona State and 37.5 yards on his 4 punts at Oregon State, 34.0 yards on his 4 punts at Stanford and 41.5 yards on his 2 punts versus Oregon. Against California, he averaged 30.2 yards on his 5 punts (with a pair within the 20 and a 59-yarder). He averaged 33.5 yards on his 2 punts (and he had another blocked) against Notre Dame. He averaged 38.7 yards on his 7 punts at UCLA, with 4 pinning the Bruins inside the 20. He averaged 35.2 yards on his 4 punts, with a 55-yarder, against Michigan. JUNIOR COLLEGE: Woidneck averaged 39.5 yards on 42 punts in 2005 as a freshman at Mt. San Antonio Junior College in Walnut (Calif.). Fourteen of his punts pinned opponents within the 20-yard line and he had a long of 73 yards. ARIZONA STATE: Woidneck redshirted as a first-year freshman punter at Arizona State in 2004. HIGH SCHOOL: He was named to the 2003 Cal-Hi Sports All-State second team, Los Angeles Times All-Orange County first team and All-Century League first team as a senior punter at Brea Olinda High in Brea (Calif.). He averaged 42.3 yards per punt in 2003. He also started at safety and linebacker as a junior and senior at Brea Olinda. PERSONAL: He's a business administration major at USC with a B- average (2.76 GPA). His brothers, Brian and Rob, were managers with the USC football team (2001-02).
