He was named a 2002 Super Prep All-Farwest, Prep Star All-West, Tacoma News Tribune Western 100, Riverside Press-Enterprise All-Riverside County first team and All-Mountain View League first team selection as a senior running back and linebacker at Corona (Calif.) High...He ran for 1,083 yards (with a 7.0 average) and 14 TDs on offense and posted 130 tackles (with 7.5 sacks) and 6 forced fumbles on defense in 2002...As a junior in 2001, he made Riverside Press-Enterprise All-Riverside County first team and All-League Defensive MVP...He had 115 tackles, with 10 sacks, plus 3 forced fumbles and 2 blocked kicks in 2001...He was a 3-year starter...Current Trojan Matt Spanos also prepped at Corona.
