    Justin Mesa is in his third year as a graduate assistant. This is his second season working with the tight ends after being with the wide receivers in 2009.

    Before that, he served as a student manager for the Trojans for 2 years (2004-05).

    USC played in the 2007 Rose Bowl, 2008 Rose Bowl and 2009 Rose Bowl.

    He earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology from USC in 2006. He is working on his master's degree in communication management.

    He played football and baseball at Cathedral High in Los Angeles (Calif.). Born Aug. 30, 1982, he is single.
