    2013: The strong-armed Wittek, the most experienced quarterback on USC's roster, will battle for the starting job as a sophomore in 2013.

    2012: Wittek served as the No. 2 quarterback as a redshirt freshman in 2012. Overall in 2012 while appearing in 8 games (Hawaii, Syracuse, California, Utah, Colorado, UCLA, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech) and starting twice (Notre Dame and Georgia Tech), he was 36-of-69 (52.2%) for 388 yards with 3 TDs and 5 interceptions.

    He completed all 3 of his passes for 22 yards against Hawaii while seeing his first USC action. He played the final series against Syracuse, California and Utah, but did not throw a pass. He then completed 2-of-3 passes for 33 yards, with a 24-yard TD toss, against Colorado. He filled in for an injured Matt Barkley for a series-plus at the end at UCLA, going 3-of-3 for 40 yards. He then started for an injured Barkley against Notre Dame and was 14-of-23 for 186 yards with 1 TD and 2 interceptions. He started again for an injured Barkley against Georgia Tech and was 14-f-37 for 107 yards with 1 TD and 3 interceptions while throwing in 20 mph winds.

    2011: Wittek, who enrolled at USC in the spring of 2011 after graduating a semester early from high school, redshirted as a freshman quarterback in 2011, his first year at USC.

    HIGH SCHOOL: His 2010 honors included UnderArmour All-American, Super Prep All-American, Prep Star All-American, ESPNU 150, Rivals 100, Prep Star Dream Team, Super Prep All-Farwest, Prep Star All-West, Orange County Register Fab 15 second team, Long Beach Press-Telegram Best in the West honorable mention, Tacoma News Tribune Western 100, Cal-Hi Sports All-State third team and All-Trinity League first team as a senior quarterback at Mater Dei High in Santa Ana (Calif.). He completed 153-of-282 passes (54.3%) for 2,252 yards with 24 TDs and 15 interceptions in 2010, plus ran for 175 yards with 6 TDs.

    As a 2009 junior, he made the All-Trinity League second team as he completed 136-of-230 passes (59.1%) for 2,158 yards and 15 TDs with 9 interceptions and ran for 189 yards with 2 TDs. Current Trojan Victor Blackwell also prepped at Mater Dei.

    PERSONAL: He grew up in Connecticut. He and 15 of his USC teammates spent 5 days in Haiti in the spring of 2012 building homes and assisting those in need.
