2013: Coming off an eye-opening and forceful debut showing in 2012, Williams returns as a starting defensive lineman as a sophomore in 2013, this season at end after playing tackle in 2012.

2012: Williams had an impressive debut as a first-year freshman defensive tackle. Overall while appearing in all 13 games and starting 9 times (all but Hawaii, Syracuse, California, Arizona), he had 64 tackles, including 13.5 for losses of 46 yards (with 8 sacks for minus 38 yards), plus 4 deflections, 2 fumble recoveries and an interception. He was named the 2012 Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year and made the Football Writers, Sporting News, Scout.com, CollegeFootballNews.com and Phil Steele Freshman All-American first teams, as well as All-Pac-12 honorable mention and Phil Steele All-Pac-12 third team.

He had 2 tackles (with a sack), recovered a fumble and had a deflection against Hawaii and 2 tackles with a sack against Syracuse. At Stanford, he had 1 tackle as he became the first USC true freshman to start at defensive tackle since Shaun Cody did so against Utah in the 2001 Las Vegas Bowl. He had 3 tackles for a loss (2 sacks) among his 4 tackles against California, then had 5 tackles, including 1 for a loss, at Utah. He had 4 tackles, including 2.5 for loss (with 1.5 sacks), and recovered a fumble at Washington, then had 2 tackles and a deflection against Colorado before getting ejected for a flagrant penalty. He had 3 tackles against both Arizona and Oregon, then had 6 tackles, including 2 for losses (with a sack), and returned an interception 24 yards against Arizona State. He had 10 tackles, including 2 for losses (with a sack), at UCLA and had 8 tackles (0.5 for a loss) and a deflection against Notre Dame. He had 14 tackles (with 0.5 sack) and a deflection against Georgia Tech.

HIGH SCHOOL: His 2011 honors included Super Prep All-American, Prep Star All-American, Sporting News Top 125, Prep Star Top 150 Dream Team, ESPNU 150, Super Prep All-Dixie, Prep Star All-Southeast and Associated Press All-State Class 6A first team as a senior defensive lineman at Mainland High in Daytona Beach (Fla.). He had 103 tackles, including 19.5 for losses (with 10.5 sacks), in 2011. Current Trojan Quinton Powell also prepped at Mainland.

PERSONAL: Some of his artwork was displayed at the 2013 "Artletics" on-campus exhibit that featured the works of USC student-athletes.
