Overall, he caught 2 passes for 12 yards (6.0 avg.). He had an 8-yard reception against Colorado and a 4-yard catch against Oregon. HIGH SCHOOL: His 2011 honors included Super Prep All-American, Prep Star All-American, SI.com All-American honorable mention, Max Preps All-American Medium Schools first team, ESPNU 150, Super Prep All-Farwest, Prep Star All-West, Orange County Register Fab 15 second team, Tacoma News Tribune Western 100, Cal-Hi Sports All-State Medium Schools second team, Max Preps All-State Division II first team and Sacramento Bee All-Metro as a senior tight end and defensive lineman at Whitney High in Rocklin (Calif.). He had 29 receptions for 433 yards (14.9 avg.) with 5 TDs in 2011, plus 35 tackles with 5 sacks. As a junior in 2010, he had 29 receptions for 327 yards (11.3 avg.) with 7 TDs and 21 tackles. He also played basketball at Whitney, where he averaged 6.8 points as a senior.
