Trojans Open Up Practice For the 2012-13 Season|
Oct. 12, 2012
The USC men's basketball team began practice for the 2012-13 season tonight (Oct. 12) in the practice courts of the Galen Center. The spirited three-hour practice had a very up-tempo pace and featured several 3-5 minute scrimmages with live officiating.
"We wanted to push the tempo today which I thought we did well," said USC's head coach Kevin O'Neill. "I thought we did well today. We want to play hard, communicate and share the ball. As a group we play really hard, now we just have to play smart and together. I like what we did today. It was a very good first day."
All of the players on the roster competed at tonight's practice, except freshman forward and offensive lineman Zach Banner who traveled with the football team to Seattle, Wash.
