    The downtown Los Angeles Athletic Club will be hosting its annual College Basketball Tip-Off Luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at noon. USC head coach Kevin O'Neill and all of the head basketball coaches of the Southern California Division I schools are expected to be in attendance and will give a glimpse into their teams for the upcoming season.

    This event always signifies the arrival of the college basketball season in the southland. USC will begin officially practicing for the 2012-13 season this Friday at 5 p.m. with the first game scheduled on Nov. 9 vs. Coppin State at 8 p.m. at the Galen Center.
