USC Welcomes Transfer Buggs To Men's Basketball Team|

Senior forward Charles Buggs has transferred to USC from Minnesota and will be eligible immediately, it was announced by men’s basketball head coach Andy Enfield today (Aug. 12). As a fifth-year senior, Buggs will have one season of eligibility remaining.
Buggs played in 28 games and made 21 starts for the Golden Gophers during the 2015-16 season, averaging 5.9 points and 2.9 rebounds. He was second on the team in field goal percentage (.462), third in free throw percentage (.769), third in blocks (14) and fourth in three-pointers made (23). Buggs scored a career-high 15 points vs. Clemson on Nov. 30, 2015 and had a career-best 10 rebounds vs. Temple on Nov. 19, 2015.
Buggs averaged 3.6 points and 2.0 rebounds as a redshirt sophomore (2014-15) at Minnesota. He also appeared in 16 games as a redshirt freshman (2013-14), including the final 10 games of the season, and helped lead the Gophers to the NIT title.
The 6-9, 230-pound redshirt senior is from Arlington, Texas and redshirted the 2012-13 season at Minnesota. He played the 2011-12 season at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia and helped lead them to a 38-1 record and the national high school runner-up. Buggs previously graduated from Martin High in Arlington, Texas and averaged 11.4 points his senior season and finished with a 3.7 GPA.
