Prince Named Gatorade State Player Of The Year|

Guard/forward Roschon Prince was named the 2013 Gatorade High School Player of the Year for California, it was announced on March 22. The award, which recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the court, distinguishes each athlete as their state's best high school boys basketball player.
The 6-6, 200-pound Prince led Long Beach Poly to a 28-4 record and a No. 20 national ranking in the Max Preps Xcellent 25 list. Long Beach Poly is also ranked as the No. 3 team in the state of California.
Prince averaged 20.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. He helped lead the Jackrabbits to the regional semifinals where they fell to Mater Dei, desptite 25 points from Prince.
