    USC Makes Final Road Trip Of The Season

    Maurice Jones has scored 25.7 percent of USC's points this season, the highest percentage by any player in the Pac-12.

    USC (6-21, 1-13) will play at Arizona (19-9, 10-5) at the McKale Center on Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m. MT in Tucson, Ariz. The game is being televised on Fox Sports Arizona with Dave Sitton and Corey Williams calling the action. USC is 1-14 in its last 15 games.

    BREAKING DOWN THE WILDCATS -- Arizona is coming off a 79-70 loss at Washington on Feb. 18 which snapped a five-game winning streak. The Wildcats have three players averaging 12 points or more per game: Kyle Fogg (12.8), Solomon Hill (12.4) and Jesse Perry (12.0). USC lost to Arizona at the Galen Center on Jan. 8, 57-46. Arizona leads the all-time series 59-40, but USC is 7-6 vs. Arizona in the last 13 meetings.

    TROJANS COME UP SHORT AT SPORTS ARENA -- UCLA scored the first six points of the game and 10 of the first 12 and never trailed in a 64-54 win vs. USC at the Trojans' former home the Sports Arena on Feb. 15. USC fell behind by as many as 23 points in the second half, but made a late run to close the gap but could get no closer than the final 10-point margin. USC won the second half 38-33 by shooting 55.6 percent from the floor, but shot only 24.1 percent in the first half to trail 31-16 at the break. Byron Wesley led USC in scoring and matched his season high with 16 points, while Garrett Jackson added 15 points. Jackson also had three blocks and a career-high four steals. Greg Allen finished with nine points, all in the second half and added a career-high seven rebounds. USC was outrebounded 46-25 by UCLA, the 13th consecutive game the Trojans were beaten on the boards. The game was USC's first in the building since defeating Oregon State 89-84 on Feb. 25, 2006.

    ARIZONA STATE ON DECK -- USC will play next at Arizona State (8-19, 4-11) on Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. MT. Juniors Trent Lockett (13.1 ppg) and Carrick Felix (10.1 ppg) lead the Sun Devils in scoring. The Sun Devils are 3-3 in Pac-12 home games. USC lost at home to the Sun Devils 62-53 on Jan. 5, but leads the all-time series, 51-34.

    TROJANS STINGY WITH TURNOVERS - As a young team playing with no senior scholarship players and just three scholarship players who had played in the USC system before, USC has committed just 11.1 turnovers per game, tied for 17th-best in the country. USC has had 9 or less turnovers in 10 of the last 12 games and has had 12 or less turnovers 19 times. USC is tops in the Pac-12 with a +4.6 turnover margin. USC has committed 123 less turnovers than its opponents.

    WESLEY AMONG FRESHMAN LEADERS - USC wing Byron Wesley ranks among the top eight Pac-12 freshmen in six different category averages: scoring (8.4, 7th), rebounds (4.9, 4th), defensive rebounds (4.0, 2nd), assists (1.9, 7th), steals (0.8, 6th) and minutes (34.2, 1st).

    MOJO, MAN OF STEAL - Sophomore guard Maurice Jones has 118 career steals, already 10th on the Trojans' all-time steals list. Jones' 69 steals last season set a USC freshman record and his 49 so far this season already rank sixth all-time by a Trojan sophomore. Jones currently ranks fourth among active Pac-12 players in career steals, the only sophomore in the top 10.

    MIGHTY MO - USC's Maurice Jones (38.0) is one of eight players in the country averaging 38.04 or more minutes per game. Also, Jones' 13.7 points per game average ranks eighth in the conference, but in terms of percentage of a teams' scoring, he ranks first in the conference at 25.7 percent. Brock Motum of Washington State is second at 25.2 percent of his team's scoring and Jared Cunningham is third at 23.3 percent of Oregon State's scoring.

    JACKSON MEANS ACTION - Since being inserted into the starting lineup nine games ago, sophomore Garrett Jackson has scored 11.2 points per game or 101 total points. That total is 30 more points than he had scored in USC's first 18 games while coming off the bench. In the nine starts he ranks only behind Maurice Jones (12.7) and Byron Wesley (11.8) for points per game by a Trojan. Jackson also has 11 blocks and 9 steals in his starts.

    ALLEN MAKING MOST OF INCREASED ACTION - Junior Greg Allen has scored 61 points in USC's last six games for a 10.2 per game average. He had totalled 16 points in USC's previous 13 games and 43 in his first 15 games. Allen had a career-high 17 points while making five 3-pointers at Washington State on Feb. 2. Allen has averaged 8.5 points in the 11 games he logs 20 or more minutes (94 total points).

    IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED... - USC led 32-14 at the half vs. Utah on Jan. 28, just the seventh time (5-2) all season the Trojans had led a game at halftime. USC's lead in the second half was its first following halftime in a game since winning 83-59 vs. TCU on Dec. 19.

    BOARD GAMES -- USC outrebounded California 38-28 on Dec. 29, including getting 18 offensive boards, its most since registering 20 in the third game of the 2010-11 season. USC is 4-2 this season when having more or the same amount of rebounds as the opposition and is 2-19 when being outrebounded. USC has been outrebounded in its last 13 games. USC has allowed 10 or more offensive rebounds 16 times. Colorado had 51 rebounds vs. USC on Jan. 26, the most by a Trojan opponent since Stanford also had 51 on March 7, 2002. USC then allowed Washington to grab 52 rebounds on Feb. 4, the most by a Trojan opponent since LMU had 53 on Dec. 9, 1998. USC has been outrebounded by an average of 20.0 rebounds per game in the last seven contests (163 to 303).
