USC Men's Basketball Team Wins Exhibition Game, 100-62
LOS ANGELES -- Junior guard Elias Ayuso and freshman point guard Kevin Augustine combined to score 44 points to lead the USC men's basketball team to a 100-62 exhibition game victory over the Washington Dunk All-Stars on Sunday night (Nov. 9) at the Lyon Center.
USC, which also won its first exhibition game on Friday (99-72 over the Slam & Jam Dunk All-Stars), opens the regular season on Tuesday (Nov. 11) versus No. 10 New Mexico at the NABC Classic in Albuquerque, N.M.
Ayuso finished with 24 points and was 4-of-6 from three-point range. Augustine, who was 6-of-8 from the field had 20 points, five assists and four rebounds.
Sophomore forward Jarvis Turner and redshirt freshman forward Shannon Swillis also scored in double figures for USC, adding 13 and 10 points, respectively.
The Washington Dunk All-Stars were led by forward Scott Roczey, who finished with 17 points.
USC senior forward Gary Williams and freshman guard Jeff Trepagnier were both held out of the game by USC head coach Henry Bibby after missing a team meeting.
