    USC Routs Sacramento State

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The University of Southern California men's basketball team visited the state's capital on Sunday and beat the Hornets of Sacramento State, 79-40. The win improves the Trojans to 1-1 on the young season.

    Adam Spanich was the workhorse for USC, coming off the bench to shoot 7-10 and finished with 18 points and six rebounds in 15 minutes of action. Elias Ayuso had 14 points. The Trojans hit .516 of their shots on the night.

    Jason Wright led the Hornets with 10 points on 5-17 shooting. Sac State shot a dismal 1-17 from behind the three-point line, finishing the game with a .274 shooting percentage.
