Los Angeles - Junior forward/center Brian Scalabrine scored 24 points and sophomore forward Sam Clancy had 23 points as the USC men's basketball team wrapped up exhibition play with a 102-90 victory over the Double Pump All-Stars on Saturday (Nov. 13) in front of 652 at the Lyon Center.
Sophomore forward David Bluthenthal posted his second double-double performance of the preseason with 13 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Sophomore point guard Brandon Granville had 13 points, 11 assists and four steals and junior guard Jeff Trepagnier added 14 points.
The Double Pump All-Stars were led by guard Brooklyn McLinn's 26 points and Mike Gill's 22 points.
USC outshot its opponent, .552 to .470, and outrebounded it, 39-31.
"I was very disappointed with our play tonight," USC Coach Henry Bibby said. "We were very lackadaisical. We won't beat very many teams if we play this way. We need to execute better."
USC opens the regular season on Friday (Nov. 19) against Cal State Northridge at the Sports Arena.
