2008-09: Washington made an immediate impact as a Trojan during the first 10 games before suffering a left ankle sprain in the first minute of the 11th game on Dec. 22 vs. Georgia Tech. He missed the next five games. Before the injury, he averaged 9.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game while scoring eight or more points in nine of his 10 games. In the 19 games following the injury he averaged 4.4 points and 3.1 rebounds and reached eight points or more four times. He had a season-high 12 rebounds vs. Chattanooga on Nov. 21. Scored a season-best 17 points on Dec. 20 vs. North Dakota State. He played in all three Pac-10 Tournament games, scoring six points and grabbing five rebounds in the quarterfinal win vs. California on March 12. Had two solid games in the NCAA Tournament, grabbing five rebounds and scoring two points vs. Boston College on March 20 and pulling down seven boards and scoring 10 points in a start vs. Michigan State on March 22. He was fourth on the team in rebounds with 126 and third in blocks with 10. Made 50 percent of his three-point attempts (4-for-8).
HIGH SCHOOL: Washington averaged 22.0 points and 13.0 rebounds his senior season (2006-07) at Mt. Washington Marion High in Louisiana. He was a Louisiana all-state selection as a junior and senior. Was ranked by HoopScoop as the No. 54 recruit in the 2007 class. Led Washington Marion to the Louisiana state finals in 2006-07 vs. Peabody High and current teammate Marcus Simmons. Washington was coached at Marion High by Mack Guillory.
