Jon Yonamine is in his fourth season as the USC men's basketball athletic trainer. He was promoted to Associate Athletic Trainer, Men’s Basketball in August of 2015.
He began working at USC in 2008 and has served as the Trojans' head athletic trainer for track and field (2008-11) and baseball (2011-2013).
Yonamine previously worked as an assistant athletic trainer at UC Irvine. While at UC Irvine, he worked with various teams including men's basketball, baseball, and the men's and women's golf teams. Prior to graduate school, he had internships with the New York Jets and Anaheim Ducks.
He is a graduate of UC Irvine in 2000 and earned a master's in Kinesiology from Cal State East Bay in 2005 while working as a graduate assistant at Cal. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, a son Devin and a daughter Jordyn.
