Edward Chang, a 6-foot-7 redshirt sophomore, is in his second year as a walk-on.
He played briefly in three games in 2003 for a total of five minutes.
Chang prepped at Dallas (Tex.) Jesuit. He served as a translator for the Chinese Jr. National team in the summer of 1999 and got to practice with the team as well.
He is an economics major. His father, Bobby, also attended USC. Chang is also close friends with former Los Angeles Clipper center Wang Zhi Zhi
Chang is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Lamda Delta, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Golden Key International Honor Society.
USC's student-athlete of the month for January, he has made Dean's List every semester while at USC. He also serves as the team's representative on the student-athlete advisory council.
