BREAKDOWN: Greg Allen is a 6-3, 180-pound junior guard who will be in his first season at USC after transfering from Navarro College in Texas. He is an excellent outside shooter and is a lock-down defender who has the ability to defend the opposition's best player. The athletic guard is expected to make an immediate impact for the Trojans.

2010-11: He started all 31 games for Navarro College (20-11) and averaged 11.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Allen made 63 three-point baskets last season, hitting at nearly a 40 percent clip from beyond the arc. He helped lead Navarro to the quarterfinals of the Region 14 junior college tournament. He was named the Region XIV Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 5 when he averaged 20.5 points in wins over Tyler and Paris, while going 8-for-16 from three-point range. Was named to the All- Conference and All-Region first teams.

2009-10: Was the sixth-man for Navarro as a freshman when he averaged 11.0 points in 33 games. He second on the team in scoring and tied for the team lead with 63 three-point baskets. Helped Navarro advance to the NJCAA Final Four. Was named honorable mention all-conference as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Allen played high school basketball at Eureka High in Eureka, Calif. and was a three-time Humboldt-Del Norte MVP. His senior season at Eureka, he averaged 25.1 points. As a junior at Eureka, he averaged 20.8 points, 5.4 assists and 6.3 rebounds.
