BREAKDOWN: Greg Allen is a 6-3, 180-pound senior guard who is expected to provide the Trojans with outside shooting and defense from the guard position.
2011-12: Allen averaged 4.7 points in 26 games during his first season of playing for the Trojans. He averaged 21.2 minutes per game and made eight starts. Allen improved as the season went on, averaging 7.2 points over his final 11 contests. He was second on the team with 29 three-pointers made and fourth in assists with 26. Allen scored in double figures four times, scoring a career-high 17 points on Feb. 2 at Washington State. In the game at Washington State he made a career-best five three-pointers. Allen had five games with at least three three-point baskets made. He scored nine points and had a career-best seven rebounds on Feb. 15 at UCLA.
2010-11: He started all 31 games for Navarro College (20-11) and averaged 11.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Allen made 63 three-point baskets, hitting at nearly a 40 percent clip from beyond the arc. He helped lead Navarro to the quarterfinals of the Region 14 junior college tournament. He was named the Region XIV Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 5 when he averaged 20.5 points in wins over Tyler and Paris, while going 8-for-16 from three-point range. Was named to the All- Conference and All-Region first teams.
2009-10: Was the sixth-man for Navarro as a freshman when he averaged 11.0 points in 33 games. He second on the team in scoring and tied for the team lead with 63 three-point baskets. Helped Navarro advance to the NJCAA Final Four. Was named honorable mention all-conference as a freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: Allen played high school basketball at Eureka High in Eureka, Calif. and was a three-time Humboldt-Del Norte MVP. His senior season at Eureka, he averaged 25.1 points. As a junior at Eureka, he averaged 20.8 points, 5.4 assists and 6.3 rebounds.
