Flores Earns Cape Cod League Coca-Cola Player of the Week Honors|

CHATHAM, Mass. - Rising junior infielder Dante Flores was named the Coca-Cola Player of the Week in the prestigious Cape Cod League.
Flores (Norwalk, Calif./St. John Bosco HS) was impressive last week, going 8-for-17 with five RBI over a four-game span, starting in last Thursday's game against Yarmouth-Dennis when he racked up three doubles and an RBI.
Over the weekend, he led the Anglers to back-to-back victories, first going 2-for-5 with a single and his first home run of the summer in an 8-4 victory over the Harwich Mariners. On Sunday, Flores went 2-for-4, doubling in the fourth and singling in the eighth as the Anglers' defeated the Brewster Whitecaps, 7-3.
So far on the summer, Flores is batting .333 through 12 games, ranking him third in the Cape League. He has driven in eight runs, tallied five doubles and hit one home run. He has also scored seven runs for the 9-5 Anglers.
Today Flores and all the players in the Cape League took to legendary Fenway Park for a workout session in front of MLB scouts.
The Anglers will be back in action tomorrow (Tuesday), as they welcome the Bourne Braves to Veterans Field in Chatham.
Last season for the Trojans, Flores batted .256 in a limited 90 at-bats due to injury. He had 23 hits with 11 RBI and four doubles.
