USC Baseball Sends 19 Trojans to Various Summer Leagues|

LOS ANGELES- The USC baseball program has sent 19 student-athletes to various summer ball locales from New England to Alaska.
Kyle Davis (Garden Grove, Calif./Pacifica HS) leads four Trojans to the Cape Cod League, the most prestigious summer ball league in the country. Davis, a 2014 All-Pac-12 First Team selection led the Trojans with an impressive 1.12 ERA, with a team-high nine saves. He led the team with 26 appearances, making one start, a complete-game 14-strikeout performance of then-No. 1 Oregon State that earned the sophomore Louisville Slugger Player of the Week honors. He will suit up for the Chatham Anglers this summer.
Also in the Cape Cod League is lefty Kyle Twomey (Placentia, Calif./El Dorado HS) and outfielder Timmy Robinson (Huntington Beach, Calif./Ocean View HS). Both rising juniors will suit up for the Orleans Firebirds. Twomey was almost unhittable out of the pen in the second half of the 2014 season. He finished with a 2-2 record, striking out 50 in 55.0 innings of work. He also boasted a 3.11 ERA. Robinson hit just .236, but led the team with 30 RBI.
Rounding out the Trojans in the Cape Cod League is infielder Blake Lacey (Clovis, Calif./Clovis HS), who will suit up for the Wareham Gatemen. Lacey batted .281, driving in 19 runs in 43 games. He also tallied 10 doubles, tying him for second on the team.
Three rising sophomores will head to the Alaska League for the Trojans. Two-way players Jeff Paschke (Santa Barbara, Calif./Santa Barbara HS) and Andrew Wright (San Diego, Calif./Cathedral Catholic HS) will both suit up for the Peninsula Oilers, while left-hander Bernardo Flores (Baldwin Park, Calif./Baldwin Park HS) will play for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots.
Soon-to-be sophomores Frankie Rios (Lakewood, Calif./Long Beach Poly HS) and Jeremy Martinez (Fountain Valley, Calif./Mater Dei HS) will head to the prestigious Northwoods League to suit up for the Willmar Stingers. Martinez was third on the 2014 team as a true freshman with a .297 batting average, driving in 29 runs, while earning Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American honors.
Four Trojans will head to the East Coast to play for teams in the New England Collegiate League. Rising junior Marc Huberman (Los Angeles, Calif./Hamilton HS) will play for the Newport Gulls, while AJ Ramirez (Bakersfield, Calif./Bakersfield Christian HS) suits up for the Ocean State Waves. Bobby Stahel (Needles, Calif./Palos Verdes HS) and Angelo La Bruna (La Canada, Calif./Loyola HS) will both compete for the Valley Blue Sox.
Infielder Reggie Southall (Gardena, Calif./Serra HS) will compete for the highly-regarded Santa Barbara Foresters, while rising sophomore Joe Corrigan (Santa Monica, Calif./Harvard-Westlake HS) will compete for the Santa Paula Halos, with both teams competing in the California Collegiate League.
Rising junior Brooks Kriske (Palm Desert, Calif./Palm Desert HS) returns to the valley to play for the Palm Springs Power alongside outfielder/pitcher Turner Clouse (Fountain Valley, Calif./Fountain Valley HS). The Power compete in the Southern California Collegiate Baseball League and have won the league title the last three seasons.
Finally, rising sophomores Corey Dempster (South Pasadena, Calif./Loyola HS) and AJ Fritts (Los Angeles, Calif./The Brentwood School) are competing in the Prospect League for the Springfield (Ill.) Sliders.
