    LOS ANGELES -- A total of six USC baseball players were selected in day two of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft. Junior outfielder Lucas Duda (Riverside/Arlington HS) was the highest selection after he was picked in the seventh round (243rd overall) by the New York Mets.

    The other five Trojans selected were junior infielder Matt Cusick (10th round, 321st overall - Houston Astros), senior closer Paul Koss (11th round, 356th overall - Los Angeles Dodgers), senior pitcher Shawn Olsen (28th round, 867th overall - San Diego Padres), senior infielder Hector Estrella (40th round, 1,212th overall - Los Angeles Angels) and senior catcher Johnny Bowden (41st round, 1,225th overall - Colorado Rockies).

    Since the draft was instituted in 1965, Trojan players have been drafted a total of 279 times.
