TUCSON, Ariz. - USA Baseball today announced the first 33 player invitations to its summer camp for the 1999 USA Baseball National Team. Camp is tentatively scheduled to open June 8 at Hi Corbett Field, home of USA Baseball and spring training home of the Colorado Rockies.
The National Team, coached by Texas A&M head coach Mark Johnson, will play the Japan Collegiate All-Star Team in Japan from June 22-July 1, compete in a US West-sponsored Western United States Tour and also is entered in the NBC World Series in Wichita, Kan., August 6-17.

USA Baseball is the National Governing Body of amateur baseball in the United
States and a member of the United States Olympic Committee. The organization

which participate in various international competitions each year.
