    Michael Friedman Named Pac-10 Pitcher Of The Week

    WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - USC junior left-handed pitcher Michael Friedman, has been named Pac-10 Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 23-29, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

    Friedman, from Fremont, Calif., recorded a win and a save in three appearances this past week against Loyola Marymount and UCLA. For the week, he pitched 6.2 innings allowing no hits, no runs, one walk and seven strikeouts. In an 11-4 win against UCLA On Mar. 26, Friedman threw three perfect innings in relief to earn his first collegiate win, recording four strikeouts. USC went 3-1 on the week.

    The Pitcher of the Week honor is the first-ever for Friedman and the 53rd selection all-time for USC.
