LOS ANGELES - Junior right-hander Andrew Triggs (Nashville, Tenn.) threw his first complete game of the season Friday as the USC Trojans won their fourth straight game with the 8-2 win over the Pacific Tigers. Triggs allowed just one earned run on six hits with no walks and five strikeouts.

Joe De Pinto went 3-for-4 with two RBI for the Trojans (8-10) while James Roberts, Ricky Oropesa and Alex Sherrod had two hits each. Jared Wagner took the loss for Pacific (3-12), allowing three runs on six hits in only four innings.

The Tigers produced a run in the first on a sacrifice fly by Allen Riley and made it a 2-0 lead in the third after Oropesa's error at first allowed Brett Christopher to score from first.

Brandon Garcia led off the fourth with a walk and scored on Adam Landecker's triple to right. The Trojans tied it as Garret Houts laid down a bunt in front of home plate on the squeeze. USC would load the bases in the fifth as Roberts scored the go-ahead run on a double play groundout by Sherrod. Pacific loaded the bases with one out in the sixth, but Alex Glenn threw a strike to home on a shallow fly out in foul territory in left field to double up Christopher. Oropesa singled home a run in the seventh as USC took advantage of two bases-loaded walks by Pacific pitchers with two insurance runs in the eighth putting the game away.

USC continues its series with Pacific tomorrow with a doubleheader, starting at 2 p.m. Sunday's scheduled game has been moved to the second half of tomorrow's doubleheader due to impending rain and will start 45 minutes after the conclusion of the originally scheduled game. The first game will be broadcast through a video webcast while the second game will be audio only on usctrojans.com.

Notes: Andrew Triggs threw his third complete game of his career with his first two coming during his 2009 freshman season...the Trojans now have a 3.87 staff ERA on the season.
