    2013/FRESHMAN: In his true freshman season, Brent appeared in 19 games, including making five starts ... Threw three complete innings of hitless, shutout ball vs. Arizona State (April 12), as he combined with starter Sean Silva for the first combined one-hitter in USC history since 1996 ... In his first career start vs. Loyola Marymount (Feb. 20), Wheatley went five complete innings, allowing no runs on five hits, while striking out four in the no-decision ... Earned his first victory in his second start vs. Long Beach State (Feb. 26), going 6.1 innings, allowing only one run on four hits, while striking out four in the 4-1 victory ... His first four career appearances were in a starting role, before becoming an important part of the Trojan bullpen .. In two appearances vs. rival UCLA (May 17, 19), Wheatley held the Bruins to just one hit in a combined 4.2 innings of work, while striking out a total of five ...
