MARY'S UNIVERSITY: He led St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Tex., to the 2001 NCAA Division II national championship as the staff's No. 1 pitcher...threw a complete game victory in the Division II national championship game, striking out 11 and walking 3 in the 11-3 win against Central Missouri State...went 9-0 with a 1.43 ERA...in 79 1/3 innings, allowed 41 hits, struck out 94 and walked 58 batters with opponents batting .160 against him...made 11 starts in 14 appearances with four complete games and two shutouts.
