As a backup catcher in his 2006 sophomore season, Salinas made three starts and appeared in 26 games...went 1-for-17 (.059) at the plate...threw out four of 13 baserunners (32%)...made his first collegiate start on May 20 at Wichita State...in the regular season finale on May 28 against Arizona, he recorded his first collegiate hit with a double against the Wildcats.
