    He played with the SoCal Fire, an independent team that reached the championship semifinals of the 2006 NBC World Series in Wichita, Kansas...led the team with a .383 batting average (36-for-94) with three home runs and 24 RBI.

    In his first season at USC as a 2006 junior, Owen made one start in 15 appearance and batted .067 (1-for-15)...his lone hit of the season came on Feb. 25 at Hawai'i...made his only start of the season on March 7 against UC Irvine.

    2005 (Cal Poly)
    As a 2005 sophomore, Owen batted .340 (33-for-97) with six home runs and 22 RBI...made 24 starts in 37 games...had seven multi-hit games on the season, including a 4-for-6 day on April 23 at UC Santa Barbara...registered back-to-back 3-for-4 games against Sacramento State (April 30-May 1)...had a season-high three RBI in a 3-for-4 performance with a double and home run on March 26 at Cal State Northridge...went 3-for-5 in his first start of the season on Feb. 21 at San Diego.
