    Trojans Drop 4-3 Heartbreaker at Pepperdine

    USC took the lead in the top of the ninth inning, but got walked off in the bottom half of the inning.

    2013/FRESHMAN: As a true freshman, Davis appeared in 22 games as a pitcher, including one start at Louisville (March 19) ... In his one start at Louisville, Davis went two complete innings, allowing three runs on six hits, while walking two ... He also made one start as a designated hitter at Washington (March 24), going 0-for-2 with two walks ... He was 1-for-7 with four walks at the plate ... Overall Davis finished with a record of 4-4, his four wins tying the team lead ... Through 42.2 innings of work he finished with a 5.48 ERA, while striking out 25 ... He also collected one save on Feb. 20 vs. Loyola Marymount, where he went one complete innings, allowing one hit while striking out one in the 2-1 victory ... Struck out a season and career-high four at Utah (April 21), where he also threw a season-high 4.2 innings, earning his fourth win of the season ... Allowed one run on three hits while striking out four... Struck out three on four different occasions ... Earned his first career victory on Feb. 17 vs. Nebraska, going 2.2 innings, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out three, as the Trojans earned a 4-3 walk-off victory ...
