    Despite graduating from Cal, Grigsby had one more year of eligibility and transferred to USC in January while working on his master's degree.

    2007 (Cal)
    In his 2007 junior season, Grigsby made 17 starts in 36 games...he batted .295 (23-for-78) with a home run, 16 RBI and three stolen bases...had a career-high three hits in a 3-for-5 day with an RBI at UCLA on May 6...went 2-for-4 with a double on April 14 at Oregon State...had a pinch-hit RBI single against Washington State on March 31...hit his first collegiate home run on March 17 against Rhode Island...earned All-Pac-10 All-Academic second team honors.

    2006 (Cal)
    As a 2006 sophomore, he made 19 starts in 31 games...batted .238 with 10 RBI...had a career-high six-game hitting streak from March 18-April 13 where he batted .500 (11-for-22)...went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBI on April 5 at Santa Clara...went 1-for-4 with two RBI in his first collegiate start on March 10 against UNLV...earned All-Pac-10 All-Academic second team honors.

    Saw action in eight games during his 2005 freshman season...recorded his first hit on March 11 against UNLV.

    He batted .391 with 10 doubles, a home run and a team-high 22 RBI in his senior season at Brentwood (Calif.) High...earned All-CIF SS second team honors while being named league co-most valuable players...was a two-time all-league selection...also named to the Los Angeles Times all-star team...along with baseball, he was a top-notch soccer player at Brentwood, earning All-CIF honors and leading his team with 17 goals in his senior season...graduated with honors as an AP scholar and was named Brentwood High Athlete of the Year in 2003.

    He graduated from Cal in May 2007 with a bachelor's degree in International Relations Theory and Geopolitical Conflict...working on his master's degree at USC in communications management...parents are Karen and Dan...his oldest sister, Jenna, was a four-year letterwinner for the Cal women's volleyball team (2000-03) while his youngest sister, Channing, is a setter with the women's volleyball team at Rice...birthdate is Nov. 30, 1984.
