In his 2004 junior season, Friedman went 2-2 with a 4.17 ERA and three saves...in 36 2/3 innings, he allowed 36 hits while striking out 34 batters and walking 14...did not allow a run in his first 12 appearances (16 2/3 innings)...named Pac-10 Conference Pitcher of the Week for March 23-29 after throwing 6 2/3 no-hit innings in three appearances with his best performance coming on March 26 against UCLA when he pitched three perfect innings with four strikeouts...threw four no-hit innings while allowing only three hits to earn a save on April 3 at Arizona State....recorded a win against Pepperdine on April 13 with three innings of work in relief, allowing one unearned run and a hit while walking one and striking out five.

He earned first team all-league honors in his 2002 sophomore season at Ohlone College in Fremont, Calif...threw four complete games and registered a 7-1 record in league games...also earned team player of the year honors.
