He played for the Peninsula Oilers of the Alaska Baseball League...named to the Alaska Baseball League Post Season All-Star Team after leading the league with a .369 batting average and 29 stolen bases...played in 42 games, going 58-for-157 with six doubles, a league-leading five triples, two home runs and 23 RBI...was 29-for-34 on the basepaths and walked 24 times against only 11 strikeouts for a .445 OBP.
In his 2007 junior season, Buss batted .290 (53-for-183) with 14 doubles, a triple, a home run and 13 RBI with six stolen bases...made 47 starts in 54 games for the Trojans...had a season-high four hits on May 20 at California...hit two doubles on April 5 at No. 9 Oregon State...hit his first home run as a Trojan on Feb. 13 at Pepperdine with an opposite-field solo shot...on Feb. 6 at Loyola Marymount, he recorded his first three-hit game for the Trojans.
