    Trojans Return to Dedeaux Field to Host No. 13 Cal Poly

    The Trojans have a great test as they welcome Cal Poly to Los Angeles this weekend.

    2013/REDSHIRT FRESHMAN: In his first season of action for the Trojans, Stahel batted .273 while starting 30 of 35 games...Tallied seven doubles and drove in 13 runs...Led the team with 14 hit-by-pitch, tying him for fourth in the Pac-12 in the category...His first career hit came on March 6 as a pinch hitter vs. Cal State Fullerton, going 1-for-1 to drive in two runs...Earned a starting spot on March 16 vs. Oregon, mostly in the outfield...Had a season and career high three hits vs. Oregon (March 16), going 3-for-4 with one run scored...Had a season and career-high three RBI day on April 14 vs. Arizona State, where he went 1-for-3 with three RBI on a double...Had four multi-RBI outings...Was hit-by-pitch twice on two different occasions, the first coming on April 7 vs. Stanford and the second on May 10 vs. Washington State...Was hit-by-pitch in five consecutive games, from April 6-April 16...Had an eight-game hitting streak from April 9-April 27...During that stretch Stahel went 12-for-30.

    2012/FRESHMAN: Redshirted his true freshman season at USC.

    HIGH SCHOOL: He was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Palos Verdes High for coach Evan Fujinaga...batted .467 with 45 runs, 15 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 24 RBI as a senior...he was an All-American selection in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons...Bay League MVP his senior year...led the nation in stolen bases as a junior with 93 and 88 as a sophomore...he led Palos Verdes to the state championship his sophomore season...twice named Nevada 2A Player of the Year.
