    Trojans Pull Out Win over Cal State Northridge

    NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - The USC baseball team needed extra innings, but came back to take an 8-7 victory over Cal State Northridge in ten innings Saturday afternoon.

    USC started off the game strong by scoring the three runs in the top of the opening inning. The Matadors immediately struck back in the bottom of the inning to cut the Trojan lead to 3-2 and took a 6-3 advantage with four runs in the fifth.

    The Trojan offense was not finished however, as it scored a run in the seventh and three in the eighth to retake the lead. The Matadors scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to tie the score 7-7 and send the game into extra innings. USC scored the winning run in the top of the tenth.

    The two teams will meet again Sunday at USC's Dedeaux Field at 1 p.m.
