    USC Baseball Defeats San Diego State, 13-6

    LOS ANGELES - A two-run single by Morgan Ensberg in the seventh inning broke a 5-5 tie and No. 9 USC went on to defeat San Diego State 13-6, Tuesday night at Dedeaux Field.

    USC is now 25-10 while San Diego State drops to 20-9-1.

    Sophomore righthander Steve Immel pitched 1.1 relief innings for the Trojans, allowing one unearned run on no hits or walks, to raise his record to 5-2. Junior lefthander Grady Rohn took the loss for the Aztecs.

    USC put the game out of reach in the eighth inning, getting six runs on four hits, including doubles by Jason Brown, Robb Gorr and Greg Walbridge. Walbridge's bases-loaded double drove in three runs.

    Ryan Hammons had three hits for the Aztecs and Stewart Smothers led off the game with a home run.
